001// THE PROJECT

IYA Productions brought me in to help design and animate some looks for Korn’s 2024 Tour.

002// THE PROCESS

This project employed a range of techniques to get the variety of looks we were after. The forest scene was created with Unreal Engine 5, utilizing a custom ember shader for the fire scene, and a combination of niagara effects and composited fire vfx in after effects.

The particle look below was created with Notch, with the particles being displaced by a 3D human model animated with Motion capture data captured with a Rokoko suit.

The Desert Scene was created entirely in Notch using displaced geometry and custom sand textures and particle systems.

The lightning storms were editied with stock footage and VFX elements

Finally the displaced static was created with cloth simulations inside Cinema4D. To maintain flexibility I exported a UV pass of the distorted mesh animation and composited the CRT Static texture in post.
